The Daily Bowl Fund

The Daily Bowl Fund ensures every pet in CHS’ care receives consistent, high-quality nutrition that supports good health and faster readiness for adoption. Frequent diet changes in shelter environments can lead to digestive issues that delay a pet's path to a new home. When pets experience gastrointestinal issues, they often need additional time to recover before they’re ready for adoption, which can unfortunately lengthen their stay in the shelter.

At CHS, we have historically relied on the generosity of community members to donate bags and cans of Hill's Pet Nutrition Food to help feed the pets in our care. This support has been invaluable, and we are deeply grateful! We are also adding an additional way to donate food to the pets in our care: The Daily Bowl Fund! No matter the gift size, each donation to this fund helps us purchase high-quality food for the pets in our care. 

Through CHS’ partnership with Hill’s Pet Nutrition, we provide reliable, veterinary-recommended nutrition at a significantly reduced cost. This allows donor dollars to go further. For example, just $31 can feed one cat and one dog for an entire month, or roughly $1 per day. Gifts to The Daily Bowl Fund directly improve pet wellness, shorten shelter stays, and help more pets find loving families sooner.
