Your pet’s safety is priceless, and adding a tag can aid their microchip, helping them find their way home. The Good Samaritan who discovers a lost pet can simply view the owner’s contact information on the tag without transporting the pet to Animal Control, CHS, or a veterinarian to scan the microchip.
Unfortunately, the number of lost dogs being reclaimed has steadily declined over the last five years. In 2019, 68.1% were reclaimed, whereas in 2024 only 53.7% were reclaimed.
