Humane Education Programs

Thank you for your interest in the Capital Humane Society Humane Education Programs and Group Shelter Tours! 

We’re so grateful for the amazing interest in our Humane Education programs! Our calendar is fully booked for the rest of 2025, and we’re unable to accept new presentation or tour requests at this time. Thank you for your support and enthusiasm for helping us share kindness and compassion for animals — we hope to connect with you in 2026!

On-Site Learning Opportunities at CHS

Interactive Presentations 

Group education programs provided by CHS feature interactive, educational presentations for school-age children and adults.  Programs are tailored to the audience’s age level and interests and are available to all audiences — including friend and family groups, schools, clubs, home school groups, and community organizations!  Presentations are hosted at the Pieloch Pet Adoption Center and can be requested off-site as well.  

Shelter Tours 

CHS provides short guided group tours of the adoption floor at Pieloch Pet Adoption Center.  Shelter tours can be added on to on-site education programs or scheduled separately. Tours occur ONLY during regular business hours.

Can't visit the shelter? A humane educator can come to you! 

Get all of the onsite perks without having to travel to us. Experience our interactive, educational programs at your school or facility. We'll bring all the materials as long as you provide the space!
