Ruby Mussman
Marketing & Special Events Coordinator
Ruby Mussman is Marketing & Special Events Coordinator for Capital Humane Society. Her favorite part of the job is bringing the community together through fun and engaging events in support of a shared mission. Ruby began her animal welfare career as an adoption counselor at Nebraska Humane Society where she gained valuable experience in the field and developed an understanding of shelter operations. Prior to that, she spent four years in software sales after earning her degree in psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Ruby has a particular love for the creative process and enjoys cooking with her family and friends, live music, and exploring new artistic avenues. She has always had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and values new and diverse life experiences. Ruby’s roommate is Maximus, a shy 8-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, whom she rescued in 2018.
