Volunteer
Volunteers are very important to the Capital Humane Society! Each person who volunteers at the shelter is providing a valuable service for the animals in our community. Providing a clean, healthy, safe and secure environment is important to the welfare of each animal!
Volunteers should be at least 16 years of age. Volunteers between the ages of 13-15 years of age may be able to volunteer if supervised by an adult. Experience is not required. We ask that individuals be self motivated and work with very little supervision. Volunteers must complete an orientation before you start. See our upcoming class schedule below.
