Capital Humane Society
serves the community by
sheltering unwanted pets,
acts as an advocate for animal
welfare and strives to
educate the public
about responsible pet care.

Classes

Puppy Kindergarten

Capital Humane Society offers Puppy Kindergarten Classes for pups 3-9 months old. Some of the topics covered are:

*Housetraining
*Proper use of a crate/bed
*Inappropriate Chewing
*Barking
*Proper Grooming
*Basic Obedience Skills
*Sit, Stay, Come, Down
*Walking on a leash

The class is held at the shelter Tuesday nights from 6:00pm ~ 7:00pm.

THE NEXT CLASS WILL BE TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28TH ~ MARCH 20TH.
The fee is $48.15

Pet First Aid

Pet First Aid was created for conscientious pet owners. Just like with people, accidents and emergencies can happen to animals ~ so being prepared could make a lifesaving difference.

Topics covered include:
*Symptoms and care for common ailments and emergencies
*Creating a pet first aid kit
*How to prepare for disasters
*Tips on maintaining your pet's health and well-being

Since the classes are limited to 10 people and fill rapidly, please reserve your place in the next class as soon as possible. Classes are held once a month on a Sunday at Capital Humane Society. The fee is $42.80.
