Available Dogs & Puppies

Romy is a 1 year old, spayed female, American Bulldog/Pit Bull mix that weighs 55 lbs.

Romy can be shy at first yet enjoys attention once she gets to know you. She would love a home with daily exercise and training. Romy has been in the adoption program before and needs a patient, experienced owner who can work with her. One previous adopter said that Romy plays too rough with younger children. We are asking that she goes to a home without kids under the age of 12. If she is to go to a home with older kids, Romy will need to meet them prior to adoption. According to another previous adopter, Romy got into a scuffle with the resident dog, but she was not in the room to observe it. When introduced to other dogs her size at the shelter Romy is friendly. We are asking that she meets all other dogs prior to adoption but may do best in a home by herself. Another adopter said Romy is destructive. According to other adopters, Romy was fine in a crate. Please read our handouts on training and call the behavior department with questions.

She is #62127.
