Pat Williams, Director of Operations
Pat Williams has served Capital Humane Society in many volunteer capacities since 1992. She was a board member for multiple terms and president for two years. Her service also includes fundraising, legislative efforts, and participation on the Health Department task force on cruelty to animals. Her hands-on work with our shelter’s animals has involved giving foster care for cats, dogs, and birds, as well as making countless matches with new homes.
Pat’s education includes a bachelor’s degree from Doane College, a Fulbright scholarship to Germany, a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a law degree from UNL-Lincoln. She practiced law as in-house counsel for Assurity Life and its predecessor companies for over 30 years.
At the beginning of 2010 Pat joined CHS as its Director of Operations and she is delighted to have the opportunity to work full-time on behalf of the animals in our care.
In her free time Pat enjoys spending time at her cabin with her husband Jim, who is an organic farmer, and their adopted dogs.
